2010 Seminar in Purposeful Living

Come to Tacoma July 15-18 for the 2010 Seminar

Prior to each international convention (even-numbered years), a special seminar is held in an area in close proximity to the convention city. Registration is limited, so register early for first come—first served spaces. Cost for participants is partially subsidized by the Educational Foundation. Educational topics, as well as personal life issues, are featured at each seminar and are presented by well-known local speakers. Short tours of historical areas give participants a flavor of the seminar site. Registration for the 2010 Seminar will be included in the January/February NEWS and online in January. Tours, pricing and other events will be detailed at that time.

Tacoma, home of the sensationally crunchy Almond Roca and the original Dockyard Derby Dames roller derby, host to sidewalk chalk competitions, archive of the original U.S. Bill of Rights, “The Wedding March” manuscript, Webster’s Dictionary, and more than a million more stellar/nerdy finds… Tacoma, Washington, an international port, lives up to its slogan –Where Art and Nature Meet. Nestled between the Cascade and Olympic mountain ranges, Tacoma will host the Educational Foundation’s 2010 Seminar in Purposeful Living July 15-18.

From museums and theaters to artful glass and historic areas, Tacoma will offer Seminar participants a variety of activities. Culinary delights, shopping, parks, an aquarium and a zoo could be in your plans when you visit Tacoma. Seminar Chair Barbie Sharrard says, “We are offering several choices for participants, including Mt. Rainier, several museums, and a theater. We have artists, and we have time to enjoy the area. Tacoma will be such a wonderful place for this seminar!”
